Runt needs a home

this little guy is ready for a home... he's a playful pup but smart!  Very entertaining and is used to small children playing with him like a doll lol He's already listening when we call him (so snag him fast before he's permanatly stuck with the name Runt lol)  Am asking for a $25 adoption fee as I've already attended to his 6 week shot.

Spencer needs a home

Spencer is going to be a good companion.  He likes to play but is way more docile than Runt.  Once again he is still needing a home.  Am asking for $25 adoption fee to cover my expenses of his 6 week shot.

They are getting so big!

I apologize for being so long between blogs :( The time is soon approaching when the puppies all have new homes.  In fact just last nite Sokko went to his new home.  He is now 2 lbs and 12 oz and eating solid puppy chow!  As sad as it was to see him go we know he went to a good home and will be very loved! Not to mention the fact that he was quickly becoming the ornery brother.  Just yesterday he was trying to play with Spencer by getting a hold of his tail and pulling him around.  it was cute but i felt bad for Spencer.   Speaking of Spencer, he is now 1lb 8 oz.  watching him reminds me of the older sibling that looks out after everyone.  he is more patient than the others and doesn't mind too much if they lay on him.  Runt is also 1 lb 8 oz.  He's going to be a very playful friend for someone.  And his little run is SOOOO cute lol.  Hunni Bunn is still the smallest but she has a spirit all her own.  She weighs in at 15 oz.  She thinks its the funnest thing ever to follow Bella (our 2 y/o pugapoo)  around barking at her.  It is bitter sweet that soon our adventure will be over :(

sorry it's been a few

by golly i've let a few days slip by!  The puppies are drinking their milk from a saucer now and refuse the bottle :(  I should be happy but it was kinda sad.  kinda like when my babies are are growing up and don't need mommy so much :(  I'm proud of them and they are growing well!  I let them have the run of the house a couple times a day and they enjoy it.  Although i must admit i lost one this morning :}  after a frantic search by Haley, Shay and I, we found Sokko in the laundry..sleeping!   They are sturdy enough that i'm not paniking everytime one of the daycare kiddos go near them. Hunni Bunn now weighs in at 15.5 oz.  Runt is 15 oz.  Spencer is 17 oz. and Sokko is 22 oz!  well kiddos are keeping my BUSY! so  i best get off here!  ttfn

Eyes are open!

We are on day 4 of the puppy patrol.  Sokko's eyes opened Wednesday,  Runt's and Hunni Bunn's opened Thursday and Spencer opened his today!  Everyone is eating good (Sokko eatting super great lol).  Spencer isn't eating as much as i would like him to eat but i won't give up! Hunni Bunn keeps trying to find a way to escape the kennel.  They have the wonderful instinct to lick each other's butt's after a bowel movement...grosses me out but i guess that's how God made them so who am i to argue :)  I've been getting them out on the kitchen floor a bit more trying to get them up and walking with a bit more stability.  They are all just so darn cute.  We are enjoying watching how they change from day to day and their little personalities are defining minute to minute.  I bought a kitchen scale today so i could weigh them.  Sokko (no surprise) is the heavyweight at 18 oz.  Amazenly enough, Runt pulls up second at 13 oz.  However not far behind is Spencer at 12.5 oz and finally Hunni Bunn is 12 oz.   It's ok to be the smallest...she's the only girl of these 4! Well i need to get going... supper is calling.  here are some pictures of a couple of my daycare kids helping with feeding time today.

Well all four pups are settling in.  I love watching how they can cuddle in the most awkward positions!  They are defiantly brothers and sister.  The little girl is tan and white and her name keeps changing lol.  Her previous foster home called her Daisy, Shay wanted to call her Carly.. however Haley has won and named her Hunni Bunn.  She has a personality more like Runt's.  She loves to cuddle but you have to be patient to get her to eat.  The male is black with a white streak on his chest and white toes.  The girls settled on Sokko.  Since Shay named the one male Spencer from the show iCarly, Haley decided he needed his best friend from the show.  Sokko tends to eat well and be lazy... oh yeah... he has NO problem with his bowels working lol.  Actually all of their bowels seem to be kicking in for us.  It was comical when Runt did his business on Haley's jeans.   Although this means the laundry has doubled, i wouldn't trade this experience for nothing!

Adventures in Fostering Puppies!

On Monday, Jan 10, a friend of mine called and asked if i knew anyone who would be willing to foster some 3 week old puppies.  The mother was hit by a car and orphaned 8 three week old puppies.  Well my heart fell and so i offered to take 2 of them.  Another gal was going to take the other 6 so i said i would take 4 that way the other friend wasn't overburdened.  That evening my friend brought us the puppies.  we ended up with only 2 because she found 2 more foster homes.  The girls each got to pick one.  Haley chose a white and black spotted one naming him "Runt".  Shaylee picked out the white with black face male puppy naming him "Spencer".   Oh yeah... they aren't 3 weeks old... their eyes aren't even open yet!  So they must have been born the last few days of Dec or first few of Jan.  I think i'm going to declare Jan 1 as their birthday... new year= new start in life!  I had never had to bottle feed or take care of such small puppies so this is a new adventure for me and my girls.  We bought the formula (ouch $17) and some bottles.  Got out some old towels and set Bella's (our 2 y/o pugapoo dog) kennel up for the puppies.  The first feeding we couldn't get them to take the milk from the bottles so we dropper fed them.  Thankfully my mom came over to show us how to get the job done!  The first nite went good with a 3 am feeding and they slept wonderfully in their stocking hat (thanks for the idea Brenda!).  They have been very active and snuggly.  Runt likes to be on my chest and just cuddled up.  Spencer is definatly the explorer.  in his first day here he has learned how to climb up on my shoulder and sit on the back of my neck when i'm sitting on the couch.  However Runt was the first to stumble out of the kennel (so door stays latched now lol)  It was interesting to me that we have to take a warm damp paper towel and wipe their bottoms to get them to go pee or poop.  They have yet to show me a bowel movement but they definatly urinate a lot!  I will be posting on their changing personalities as they grow over the next 4-5 weeks!  Oh yeah!  i also found out this morning that this afternoon i will be having 2 more coming to stay with us.  So we will have 3 boys and a girl!  So let the adventures begin!!!
